Patrick Smoke
B.Comm(Hons), CAIB, CRIS
Prior to becoming a Partner at APEX, Patrick spent 8 years at a global insurance brokerage specializing in property and casualty construction insurance. Establishing himself as a future leader within the firm, he attained the titles of Vice-President and Account Executive.
By working alongside a wide range of contractors and specialty subtrades, Patrick has expertise in project-specific insurance placements, helping his customers protect their bottom line. Patrick also advises clients on risk mitigation strategies and has an advanced knowledge of contractual insurance and bonding requirements.
Patrick is a graduate of the University of Manitoba (B.A), in addition to Laurentian University where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree. Patrick holds both CAIB and CRIS accreditations, providing him with a unique perspective on construction risk not only in Canada, but also in the United States.
In his spare time Patrick enjoys being active, playing sports and spending time with his wife and daughter.
