Ron Friesen
Ron was born in Western Manitoba, moving to Winnipeg at age 19, where he completed a business degree at Red River College School of Business in 1971. He began his insurance career that same year with a family-owned broker located in North Kildonan, leaving after four years to become a realtor. Ron rose to become a partner in a successful real estate brokerage by 1977.
In 1989, he returned to the insurance industry and has not looked back since. Ron’s decades of experience have allowed him to specialize in a wide variety of insurance products, including both commercial and personal lines. He has gained a reputation for providing industry leading knowledge and advice on realty and revenue property insurance placements.
Much like St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes, Ron’s passion is solving difficult problems, and advising clients on navigating challenging and complex insurance losses. Ron is known to play most sports and has won provincial championships in volleyball, baseball, and racquetball, both as a player and coach. Ron is married to Diane (both of whom lost their previous spouses to cancer) and together they enjoy the company of their families (including 14 grandchildren!).
